Please please please.. No Roundabouts! All you need to do to see the disacterous result of poorly concieved roundabouts is to try navigating the one constructed in Sault Michigan.

Also please no more bike lane on major arterial roads where there is no need.. Look at the traffic congestion that has already been created by bicycle lanes on Queen St, east (between Pine ans Pim Strees), Northern Avenue (west of GNR, and what is now being done on Wallace Terrace. This city's engineering department or traffic department or whoever is responsible for these blunders, as well as the traffic lane configurations on East Streetat Albert St, Albert St west of Gore St., and McNabb St (west of GNR needs to be addressed by Council.

It's no wonder that air traffic passeneger numbers are down between Sault Ste. Marie and Toronto given the terrible flight times, high number of flight cancellations and increased costs during the past couple of years. For a while there we were afraid to book with Air Canada as we are usually looking for connectng flights and they were cancelling more flights from the Sault to TO or the return flights, which caused all kinds of issues, delays and inconvenience. We have found it is often cheaper, quicker and more convenient/reliable to drive to Toronto.

Intersections on Albert St. are too dangerous without traffic signals when busy but could be switched to flashing caition and stop lights at slower times (i.e. late eveing)

There is no real benefit to removing these lights from a safety and traffic control standpoint, Sure there is some financial benefit to the city but safety should come first. A better solution would be to switch the traffic signals to flashing lights... caaution on Albert and stop on side streets after a set time in the evening when traffic is lighter (i.e. 10 pm). This could be done on a number of other arterial roads too (e,g. Queen St., Great Northern Road, Wellington and 2nd Line except for maybe a few major intersections.

I find the Dennis/Albert intersection is even worse although there have not been any accidents reported yet. You cannot see to the west at all when coming up Dennis St.

Do you watch CTV News Northern Ontario?

It would be nice to have some local news but CTV offers very little and what they do cover is usually old news. Very little current local coverage.
