Nicky started working as a Newswatch reporter in December 2024 after graduating with a Bachelor of Journalism and a minor in Environmental and Climate Humanities from Carleton University.

Previously, she worked as a casual reporter and editor for CBC Thunder Bay. Aligning with her passion for covering global environmental and humanitarian issues, she has worked to develop in-depth multimedia content to share the diverse experiences of those in Northwestern Ontario, especially those often left with little voice in the media.
