TERRACE BAY—Brenda Figliomeni of Schreiber has been passionate about fitness and helping others stay fit for over 30 years.
She has offered fitness programs for all ages both male and female. Back in the day, she said, “What used to be called aerobics has evolved into many different fitness programs, including cardio fitness classes.”
Figliomeni wants to continue, “motivating people in and around her community to stay motivated and healthy”, even with the COVID-19 challenges.
Her hope is that with restrictions lifting soon, people will “get moving again”. Figliomeni’s programs are for any age group, with a focus on ages 35-75 years of age.
In a candid conversation with her, Figliomeni said that her goal is to do all that she can for her community and works hard to organize and offer programs to meet the physical health needs of others.
She has been offering fitness programs from the time she was very young both in Schreiber and Terrace Bay for more than 30 years and continues to do this.
Figliomeni stated that, as soon as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, as of Jan. 31, 2022, “I am ready to get people motivated and to get active again. It’s not so much what program that someone registers for, it is the mindset to get active and enjoy the activity while socializing with others.
She continues to strive for community members getting active again, to encourage a healthy lifestyle and to engage in a fitness program that best meets their needs. She was very happy to share that she is offering her cardio fitness classes both in February and March.
No doubt, the physical engagement she is facilitating with her fitness programs, will also help enhance both the physical and mental health of so many participants in her community.
