Thomas Jack Carr, known by all who knew him as Tom or Tommy, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025, in Thunder Bay, ON, at the age of 82. Born on August 6, 1942, in Russell, MB. Tom was a man of strength, humour, and a hardworking spirit that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He spent many years as a Heavy Duty Mechanic with The Great Lakes, a Cab Driver, and a Security Guard.

He had a passion for golf, bowling and had a love for the game of crib, especially in his last years. He taught his children these along with skating, swimming, how to ride a bike, and many activities outdoors: fishing, canoeing, etc.

He is survived by his loving ex-wife Mary Carr, and their children: Alison, Thomas (Jill), Catherine, Maryanne, and Robert (Amanda). His legacy continues through his grandson, Evan Carr. He is survived by his siblings Marie McInnis (John), Harry (Donalda), Susan (Ralph, deceased), half-brothers Terry and Dale along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Jack and Ida, son Owen, sister Maureen Jack (Larry) and brother Douglas.

His children remember him as a father who taught them the value of hard work, the importance of laughter, and the power of resilience.

Rest in peace, dear Dad, your journey has been a remarkable one. We'll miss you.
