Romeo
Teresa Romeo passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with family by her side. Teresa was born on November 22, 1936 in Siderno, Italy. She arrived in Fort William, Ontario in February of 1955 with her husband Guiseppe.
Teresa will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Sam Romeo (Sandra), Jim Romeo (Doreen), Tony Romeo (Jennifer), Yolanda, son-in-law Tony, Bonnie, Jodie. Grandchildren, Angela Roberts (Todd), Bradley Romeo (Amory), Cosimo Crupi (Ashley), Joseph Crupi (Nicole), Mitchell Romeo (Laura), Eric Crupi (Roxanne), Krysta Jones (Parker), Montgomery Romeo (Lyndsay), Samantha Romeo, Chance Romeo (Brittany). Seventeen great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.
Teresa was predeceased by her father and mother, Giuseppe and Angela, her husband Giuseppe, her daughter Carmela Crupi, her sister Rosa Totino, her brother Vincenzo Infusini.
Teresa loved life, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her immense joy. She always put family first and did not want it any other way. Her hard work, generosity and great charisma made her a wonderful loving wife, mother and friend. She was adored by all who knew her young and old. Teresa spent her life raising her 5 children, 10 grandchildren and now 17 great grandchildren. She loved gardening in her younger years, cooking and baking. She would knit gifts including blankets, slippers and tea towels. She socialized with friends and family during the warm summers’ months on her patio while watching great grand children play and ride bikes on her driveway. She was proud of her family and leaves nothing behind but beautiful memories.
The Romeo family would like to extend their deepest thanks to Dr. Noy, Dr. Nigro and Bayshore staff for the many years of providing ongoing care to Teresa and Yolanda. Also, thank-you to the Thunder Bay Regional staff on 3A who supported Teresa in her final days ensuring she was comfortable.
The Funeral service will be held on Friday March 28, 2025 when family and friends will gather at St. Anthony's Church for visitation at 10:00 a.m. with mass following at 11:00 a.m. Those unable to attend can attend virtually at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5tQ0S97ILw.
