It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Rick Styles on March 29, 2025, at the age of 76. He faced numerous health challenges with strength and grace and was fortunate to remain at home until the end, surrounded by his loving family.

Rick is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Styles (née Miller); his sons Jeff Styles and Scott Styles (Daniel MacPherson-Styles); and his cherished grandchildren Kylie, Jenavieve, Ella, Nate, and Quinn. He is also lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law, Sylvia Miller ("Mom"); extended family Marsha and Tom "Captain Crunch" Sharpe; and Carol and Brian MacDonnell. Rick is also survived by his sister, Pat Kuper, and brother-in-law, Glenn Upton. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as his faithful four-legged companion, Scrappy.

Rick was blessed with lifelong friendships that became family, including Steve and Elly MacKinnon, and Wolf and Rebecca Morrisseau, whose bonds of brotherhood meant the world to him.

He is predeceased by his father, Desmond Styles; mother, Grace Styles; sisters Jane Upton and Cheryl Hooke; father-in-law, Melvin Miller; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judy and Murray Hovey.

He dedicated his career to his craft as a master electrician, working both independently and through the local union. He was respected for his skill, work ethic, and integrity. After retiring early due to health concerns, Rick continued to express his creativity through leatherwork and other artistic pursuits. He was an avid outdoorsman with a deep respect for nature, a passionate hunter, and a true animal lover. He also enjoyed endless summers at Island Lake.

Rick had a warm heart, a sharp wit, and a quiet strength. He found joy in the simple things and touched the lives of many through his kindness, artistry, and loyalty.

A funeral service will be held on Friday April 11th, 2025 at 11:00am at St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church, 675 Red River Road, Thunder Bay, ON, with Rev. Elizabeth Sipos presiding.

With special and heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff from Palliative Care and Paramed. Their help and support has helped us keep Rick at home. Thank you, Richard (Palliative Care NP), Jeff (Paramed Nurse), Danny, Jithin, Ram, Don, Enjuz, Belgium, and Amal.
