It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Brian Bembridge, age 70, on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at the TBRHSC.
Rick was born and raised in Fort William. After graduating from college, Rick was employed as a Process Analyst at Bowater until his retirement in 2009. He was always proud of his work and involvement within his union.
Rick was a diamond in the rough, a good man, a supportive partner, a great brother, a loyal friend, a cherished uncle and champion of cats. He was kind, funny, generous, compassionate, and the first person you would call if you needed a helping hand. Rick will be greatly missed by all of us who loved him so very much.
Thank you to the first responders who cared for Rick and the staff in the ICU for being so supportive.
Cremation has taken place and in keeping with Rick’s wishes, a private interment will be held at a later date.
If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Thunder Bay District Humane Society or the Northern Cancer Research Foundation in his memory would be greatly appreciated.
