Passed away peacefully in Belleville on September 18, 2023 in her 95th year. Daughter of Harold and Evelyn McDonald (nee Spence). Loving wife of the late Donald Brian Lambert, mother of Eva Touchburn (Ted ), Edith Buchanan (late Jim) and Anne Clark (Owen), loving grandmother of 7, great and great-great grandmother to many. Survived by her brother Rod McDonald (Evelyn) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Lavilla Coulter (late Don), Irene Harty (late Mike), Sharon Gaskell (Brian), sister-in-law and brother-in law Pauline and Jim Given.

Reta was born in Murillo, Ontario in 1929, attended S.S. #3 School before moving to Port Arthur with her family. She worked at the Grain Elevators during WWII and then in the kitchen at PAGH. Reta married Don in 1948 and they had 3 daughters. The family moved to Scarborough in 1960 and Reta and Don retired to Prince Edward County in 1992 and then to Belleville. 

A Graveside service, officiated by Rev. Debra Everest, will be held on Friday July 5th at 11 am at Riverside Cemetery (Section 1) in Thunder Bay. A luncheon will follow at Oliver Rd Community Centre. Please join family and friends in sharing in memories of Reta's life. A Memorial service was previously held in Belleville.
