Mr. Randy Hawryluk age 52 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 5, 2024. 

Randy was born in Dauphin, Manitoba and moved to Thunder Bay the age of four. He attended McKellar Park School and graduated from Churchill High School.

Randy was employed at the Brew Pub and at the time of his passing he was at the Valhalla Inn. Randy made many deep friendships along the way. Randy and Don Forneri were known to have heated debates about their favorite sports teams.

Randy was well loved and he cherished the time spent with family. He absolutely loved all the holidays throughout the year. He will be remembered for his love of music and the cherished time he spent playing guitar with his dad, brother and uncle. Randy sang from the heart and with confidence. He passionately followed sports especially hockey and wrestling, he was often heard yelling at the TV screen. He enjoyed many outings and lunches with his mom and sisters. His mom will fondly cherish their bi-weekly mother and son dates.

After the passing of both his brother and dad, Randy became the man of the family, a position that he did not take lightly.

Randy is survived by his mom Evelyn, sisters Tara (Peter), Nat (Dave) and Rachele. He is a beloved uncle to Tiffani & Chris and a great uncle to Dawson and Violet. He will be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Randy was predeceased by Steve & Jean Hawryluk & Fred & Nettie Wallace (grandparents), his dad Russell Hawryluk, brother Glenn Hawryluk as well as his uncle Walter Hawryluk.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 6:00 pm in the Blake Funeral Chapel, 200 May Street S., celebrated by Suzanne Quirion.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A private interment will be held in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
