It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Peter Buob on February 17th, 2025 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Peter was born in Geraldton. When he was a boy his family moved to O’Connor township and he grew up working on their farm. As an adult he worked at Northern Woods Preservers and then for Nadin Contracting. Peter was an extremely hard worker and took pride in any work he did. He had the warmest, kindest heart. He didn’t have much but was always willing to share what he had with those less fortunate. He was known for his eccentric personality, and above all his outrageous sense of humour. Peter’s greatest pride and joy in life was his two daughters, Amy and Jennifer, as well as his granddaughter Josephine, and of course his little dog Maggie. Peter was close to his surviving siblings, Susan and Dave, and his nieces and nephews. He had many friends, and we are so grateful for the kindness and love they showed to him, especially his dear friend Bob and his longtime partner Sue. Special thanks to his ex-wife Carol who went above and beyond to help us support and care for him over the years. We will miss him dearly and would like to give a special Thank You to Dr. Faghi and all the nurses who took care of him over the years at the Cancer Center. As per his wishes, there will be no formal service. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
