It is with profound sadness that the family of Patrick Allen Hall, age 73, of Shuniah, announce his passing on Monday, March 4, 2024; a loving, kind, and thoughtful spouse, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle.
Patrick was born December 2, 1950 in Fort Frances, ON. Patrick was the eldest of six siblings and raised in Fort Frances. After high school, Patrick served in the Armed Forces and eventually moved to Thunder Bay, ON to raise a family of his own. He worked for Canadian Pacific Railway, initially starting out as a Train Yard Checker and finishing his career there as a Supervisor, retiring in 2006 after 35 years of service.
Patrick loved spending time out at the lake, enjoying bonfires, hunting and fishing, and putting endless worms on hooks so the grandchildren could fish. He had a great sense of humour and loved political satire, as well as watching boxing, the hockey playoffs, Mr. Bean, and true crime documentaries.
Patrick was predeceased by his mother Fern and father Sterling, brothers Shawn and Sandy, and sister Margaret.
Patrick will be dearly missed by his family and is survived by his spouse Linda, children Chad (Tammy) and Jenny (Jed), step-daughters Crissa and Roxanne, grandchildren Jamis (Chad), Patrick, Samantha, Kaaisa, Michael, Jack, Aiden, Ryan, Carter, Alandra, Damon, five great-grandchildren, brother Bill (Shelley) and Steven (Kim), as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A private family interment was held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Brain Injury Services Northern Ontario would be greatly appreciated.
