Patricia Vern Macdonald (nee Gray) exited this life March 18, 2025 following complication from chemo therapy.
Patricia had extraordinary talents. She graduated from University of Toronto with a degree in music, Royal Conservatory from Western and Toronto (voice and piano), Lakehead University (B. Ed, M. Ed), and was a dedicated teacher and Principal. She was adored and respected by staff and colleagues. She set the tone in her schools where bad behaviour was gently but fairly not tolerated. Her students never forgot her. She was loved. Recently, her artistic creative aptitude lead her to wildlife photography and Thunder Bay shipping. She tracked all the ships in and out of the port. She claimed, without any evidence, that she could identify each of her beloved deer on Mission Island. When the fawns are born they will see her one last time.
She is survived by her husband, Alastair, her cousin, Ken, many friends, including Alfred, a particularly special friend of hers.
Thank you to the staff at TBRHSC and the cancer centre for their exceptional care.
Cremation has occurred. There will be a funeral service at Harmony United on March 27 at 11.00 am, followed by a reception. Just a precaution: parking can be a problem.
