Margaret Bianco died peacefully following a brief illness on December 30, 2024. Margaret was one of the longest-serving volunteers at the Thunder Bay 55+ Centre, having served for over 22 years and was an ambassador on many councils and boards. Mom received the Citizens of Exceptional Achievement award in the Spirit of Thunder Bay category which summed up her character and many achievements. As well as being serious in nature, Mom had a fun-loving side that showed up at the most inopportune times, keeping everyone on their toes! You either accepted her as she was or kept on truckin'. Mom had a very altruistic nature, volunteering at Telecare with a gentle heart. She accepted anyone and everyone into our home at all times. Often we would laugh when a knock came to the door because it was always "Guess Who is Coming to Dinner!" Mrs."B", as she was known to. all our friends, made everyone welcome, safe and ensured everyone was well-fed. Margaret is survived by her children Daniel (Arlene), Ramona (Ted) Laskowski, and Margaret Ann, daughter-in-law, Sandra Bianco, son-in-law Victor Cooke, and Allan Wolotko. She will be lovingly remembered by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews who are all very close to her heart. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, John and Ramona Hacquoil, husband Daniele, son Kenneth and daughter Maureen Cooke; siblings John, Ann, and Paul. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 10:00am at Corpus Christi Church on Red River Road. Reception to follow in church hall. Donations can be made to Thunder Bay 55+ Centre and/or to the charity of your choice. Please join us as we celebrate Mom's remarkable life. She was one hell of a woman!
