It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our grandmother, Margaret Agnes Gravel, age 94, she passed peacefully with family by her side on December 31, 2024.
Born in Kendrey Township, Ontario on August 27, 1930. Margaret lived a long and fulfilling life. In her early days She enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and wintering in Arizona with her husband Lucien. She loved walking and visiting with friends and family. She enjoyed attending Church weekly as a regular member of the congregation at St Patrick’s Cathedral.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents John and Margaret Gallagher, husband Lucien Gravel, her daughter Diane Gravel Goodwin and her sons Ron and Gerry Gravel, son in-law John Merchant and daughter in-law Nellie Gravel. Also Predeceased by her sisters, Elizabeth and Mary and brother in-law Vincent Gravel. She is survived by her daughter Mary Ann Merchant, and son in-law Guy Goodwin. Her grandchildren: Ron, Tracey, Kevin, Tyler, Jeffrey, Jamie, Jeremy, Dylan, Justin, Abby, Brady, Jake, Brittany, Kristin and Jessica. Her great grandchildren: Noah, Chloe, Zachary, Jesse, Layla, Addi, Ella, Olivia, Jack, Cooper and Gracie. Sister in-laws Lydia, Yolande, Irene (late Rene Gravel), and Albertine (Late Julien Gravel) and may other relatives in Ontario and Ireland.
Margaret spent the last two and a half years living happily and enjoying her time at her home at Southbridge Pinewood Court. We would like to send our sincere thanks and appreciation to all the staff at Pinewood Court for the amazing care and attention they gave her. She was Grandma to all and was treated like part of the family at Pinewood. We are forever grateful.
A private service and interment will be held in the summer as Grandma always said “The winter is too much trouble”.
