It is with sorrow that the family of Mable “June” Gill announce her peaceful passing on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Hogarth Riverview Manor.
June was born on November 11, 1934 in Port Arthur, Ontario.
She was a homemaker who loved her music.
Her favourite song was “Love Is In the Air.”
She was a square and round dance dancer for 52 years.
She so enjoyed to be with family, travelling, camping, and fishing.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Susan (Jack) Gaudry, Rick (Brenda) Wright, Dan (Carol) Wright, Linda Johnson, Bev (Ralph) Delarue, step-daughter Joyce Gill, many adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many extended family and dear friends.
Predeceased by her first husband and father of children Clifford Wright, her second husband Alfred Gill, and step-son Ralph Gill.
A celebration of June’s life will be held at the Sargent Family Reception Centre on Friday, January 12, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Garon and all the staff at Hogarth Riverview for their care shown to June.
If friends so choose, the family suggests contributions be made to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation – Thunder Bay Chapter, or to Diabetes Canada in her memory.
