Mable Cannon, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife and friend passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024.

Born in Little Longlac, she was raised and educated in Geraldton, ON. After high school she attended Kings business college in Port Arthur. Mable and Sherwood opened Noro Saw in 1961 which continued to operate for 45 years. Mable cherished her lifelong card club friends, family and football Sundays. She took pride in her knitting creations and enjoyed doing puzzles and reading books in her spare time.

A longtime resident of Thunder Bay, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Sherwood Cannon, her parents Denys and Iwilla and siblings Chum, Lola, Tom, Robert, Shirley, Marie, Kenneth, Anne and Grace, as well as sisters-in-law Anita, Merle and Miriam.

Mable is survived by two sons, Guy (Karen) and Greg (Christine), her grandchildren, Alexandra (Courtney), Jordan, Katrina, Wyatt, great-granddaughter Evie, siblings Vivian (Bruce), Marlyn, Frank and Hilda and brother-in-law Hartley. She also leaves many nieces, nephews family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in Geraldton, Spring 2025. Should friends desire, donations to the Northern Cancer Fund would be appreciated.
