The family is saddened to announce the passing of Lambert “Bert” Britt. Lambert was born in Maniwaki, Quebec, grew up in Auden ON, moved to Port Arthur in his early teens and stayed.

Bert was a proud 55-year member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 628. He loved being a plumber.

When he was younger, Lambert enjoyed fishing, ski-dooing, ice-fishing and sitting by the bonfire with his family. He traveled Canada from coast to coast, up to Yellowknife and across the United States in his motorhome. As the years passed, Bert enjoyed going to Las Vegas, Hinckley and Grand Portage “to people watch”.

When Bert retired from plumbing, we adopted our little dog, Lucky. Bert & Lucky were inseparable, when you saw Bert, Lucky was on his lap. Then, MR., our little Shih-Tzu who was a great comfort to Bert this past year.

He will be forever loved and remembered by his spouse Anne (Pages) of 25 years; son Bill (Tara) and grandchildren. Also mourning his loss, 5 brothers, Dennis (Diane), Robert (Marci), Roger (Cindy), Roy (Betty) and Donald (Ingrid); 2 sisters, Iris (Mike) and Karen (Stan); sister-in-law Dolores; brothers-in-law Roger (Sharon) and Loran (Gail); sister-in-law Cecile (Don) along with many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by parents Della and Ed and brother Bernard “Bernie”.

Words cannot express the extreme gratitude we have for the excellent care, compassion and kindness shown to Lambert these last few years. An extra “Thank you” to all the staff of 4N St Joseph’s Hospice.

As per Bert’s wishes, he did not want a public service. So, to honour him, enjoy the sun on your face and raise a glass of warm “Blue”!

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to TBRHSC – “Operating Room” or New Hope Dog Rescue.

Online condolences may be expressed at www.sargentandson.com.
