It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Mr. John Thomas Neill, age 61, on November 14, 2024 at home. John was born in Port Arthur on August 20, 1963 and was a lifetime resident. John was a man of many talents, always going above and beyond for those he loved. Perfection was always his main goal when it came to his wood-working projects, small motor mechanics, and the upkeep of his family's home. John was a very family oriented man, always helping his mother, father, and in-laws. He also enjoyed helping his friends when needed. John had a very successful and fulfilling career working for many different companies. Starting off at Abitibi/Cascades Paper Mill as a 2nd class stationary engineer for 25 years, moving onto the LPH Boiler House for another 8 years, and finishing off his career as the maintenance lead hand at St. Joseph’s Hospital where he retired in 2021. Following his retirement, John loved spending time with his family, especially playing UNO and various board games, going golfing with friends, and beginning his retirement project of building his garage. Everything John did was for his loving wife of 31 years, Sandra, and his pride and joy, their only daughter Franca. His home and family were the most important in his life.

John will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sandra, daughter Franca, in-laws Frank and Giovanna Guerriero, brother in-law Felice Guerriero, sister in-laws Lena (Don) Morin, Maria (David) Kachur, and Raffelina (Christian) Meier, nieces and nephews Jayna (Alex) Walsh, Gloria (Brett) Whitehurst, Adam Meier, Zackary Meier, Bryton Kachur, and great-niece Alayah Walsh. Also survived by sisters Kerry Malone and Sharon (Mark) Sacchetti, and brother Colin (Suzanne) Neill, nieces and nephews Natalie (Luc) Feitler, Shain (Robbie) Campbell, Vanessa (Tyler) Dunn, Spencer (Ashley) Malone, Nolan Neill, and great-niece Dylan Campbell. Predeceased by father Thomas in 2006, mother June in 2021, and uncle Edward in 2021. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21st at 11:00 am at Sargent & Son Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.sargentandson.com.

Dear John (Dad), we love you deeply and will miss you each and everyday. You will always be in our hearts, until we meet again. - Sandra and Franca
