With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jason John “Jay” Busniuk on Saturday September 30, 2023 at the age of 52 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Jason was predeceased by his sister April Patton (nee Busniuk) and mother Olga (nee Yarocky). Devoted father to Kaylee (Keegan), beloved son to Joe, and brother to Jeff (Nicole). Jason is also survived by his brother in-law Andrew Patton, and many nieces and nephews.
Jason was born on November 12, 1970 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He attended high school at Sir Winston Churchill Collegiate and Vocational Institute. He started his career as an automotive technician at the K-Mart Service Centre and later worked as a truck driver at The Brick for over 20 years and most recently worked for Carrick Express where he was well respected by his co-workers.
Jason had many interests including working on cars and trucks, enjoying the company of animals, catching up with his daughter, and visiting his family’s camp on Lac des Mille Lacs where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends around a campfire and enjoying nature. He also had many friends across the country who he cherished.
