Mrs. Jane Po, age 82 years, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, July 25, 2022.
Jane was born in Rangoon, Myanmar on July 8, 1940 and came to Canada in 2003. She was a dedicated homemaker, caring for her 8 children and her husband Lawrence. Jane was a very kind, loving and patient wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She would help anyone in need and always thought about the positive in everyone she came across. Jane had a strong faith and never complained no matter what she faced in life. She was always an encouragement to all of those around her. Jane enjoyed singing, cooking and photography, but her family was her true passion. She will be deeply missed.
Jane is survived by her husband Lawrence; her children Laura Po, Letitia Po-Foglia (Sebastiano), Lucienne Boonpeng (Suniye), Louella Po (Chapue Saw), Kyaw Soe Po (Sophit), Lucretia Po, Lionel Crombi Po (Lily) and Louisa Po (Michael Santorelli); grandchildren Pakawan and Vimolawan Boonpeng, Luxemburg Kabakyaw and LindsaLar Po, Jonathan Htoo, Katherine Phailine Po, Patricia and Pamela Vasquez. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
She was predeceased by her parents, Kyaw and Julia Thu and her 3 siblings Irene, Ruth and Douglas.
Funeral Services for Jane will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 10:00am in Hosanna Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Wah Lay Ray. Interment will follow in Mountainview Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.
