Beloved Rosie (Frozenia) Dysievick passed away peacefully at Hogarth Riverview Manor on December 19th, 2023, at the age of 101, with family by her side.
Born in Caliento, MB July 24, 1922 to Michael and Helen Sportak she was the first of ten siblings. Rosie spent time in Winnipeg later moving to Thunder Bay in 1943 where she worked at the One Minute Lunch. Here she met and married William (Bill) Dysievick, May 12th, 1945 raising their family and building the business, Dysievick Custom Sawing in the township of Oliver Paipoonge.
Predeceased by her husband Bill Dysievick May 11,2012. She is survived by her siblings sister Daria SSMI and Joseph as well as her ten Children and their families Jerry, Stanley (Donna), Ronnie (Sherry), Larry, Caroline (Ron Hayes), Walter (Linda), Diane, Brian (Lori), Millie (Terry Kadolf), and Sheila boasting a legacy of 20 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren also Loving Aunty to many wonderful nieces and nephews. A life lovingly lived.
Words hardly seem enough to articulate the impact this lovely lady had on all who knew her. Rosie lived and loved with an open heart and arms, welcoming, including, caring for everyone.
These endearing qualities followed her in all aspects of life with family, friends, neighbours, church, colleagues and community. An active member of the local 4H club, Royal Canadian Legion, the Catholic Women's League and a member of the Holy Family Parish. During the war time years, Rosie worked at the Canada Car plant, later working at the Thunderbay Tree Nursery till her retirement in 1987.
She will be greatly missed.
