1956 – 2025
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Cherie Lane Hansen February 20, 2025 at the age of 68. Cherie was born May 28, 1956 to parents Mark and June Hansen of Nolalu, Ontario and was the eldest of their four children.
Cherie had a long career as a bookkeeper and spent the last 20+ years of her working life at Bearskin Airlines.
She married Marty Hynnes in 1984, although the marriage didn’t last, she was happy to gain her stepson Mike Hynnes and very pleased when he had his daughter.
Cherie will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family – mother June Hansen, brothers Grant (Sandra) Hansen, Chris (Charlene) Hansen, sister Leah (Glen) Kellaway plus numerous nieces, nephews, and her best friend Ken.
She was predeceased by her father Mark Hansen. A private interment will take place this spring at Stanley Hill Cemetery.
The family thanks the staff at Thunder Bay Regional Hospital for all the great care and compassion given to us.
