Wawa shooting leaves one person dead, another in hospital

Police say the suspect is believed to have died in the incident, which took place on Thursday morning.

WAWA – One person is dead after a shooting in Wawa.

Ontario Provincial Police say at about 11 a.m. on Thursday police responded a report of a shooting incident at a business on Mission Road in the community.

One person was taken to hospital with serious injuries and a second person, believed to be the suspect, was located deceased.

Police say there is no threat to public safety or local schools.
