MARATHON — Ontario Provincial Police have identified the person who died in a two-vehicle collision near Marathon on Dec. 21.

Police say the victim was a 55-year-old man from Richmond Hill.

He was the driver of a passenger vehicle that collided head-on with a transport truck around 6:30 pm.

The truck driver was a 23-year-old man from Regina.

He and a passenger both suffered minor injuries.

An OPP spokesperson said Monday police do not believe weather conditions were a factor in the collision.
