Kapuskasing’s Sensenbrenner Hospital updated their new COVID-19 guidelines

KAPUSKASING—The Township of Kapuskasing’s Sensenbrenner Hospital recently announced their new COVID-19 guidelines effective immediately.

The guidelines will be bring changes to their COVID-19 screening and visitation guidelines. As a result, visitors, patients, and service providers are required to stop at one of the two self-screening stations upon entering the Hospital to complete a short pre-screening questionnaire and temperature check.

Screening stations are located at the Front entrance and Emergency Department entrance. Visitors who fail to pass the pre-screening will be asked to see the receptionist for further assistance and instructions.

The Hospital’s update also added that for visitors, there is no longer a restriction to the number of visitors and visitor badges are no longer required. However, visitors with signs of symptoms or illness of COVID-19, cold/flu or who have tested positive in the last 10 days will not be permitted to visit.

They remind everyone that masks are still required and must be worn at all times when at the Hospital. The Hospital notice aims at letting everyone know that the safety of patients, staff, physicians and community remains a top priority at Sensenbrenner Hospital.
