Two people taken to hospital after Highway 11 collision

The extent of injuries is unknown at this point; however, the OPP believe them to be non life-threatening.

A single commercial vehicle collision on Highway 11 has resulted in two people being transported to hospital on Thursday morning.

Members of the Nipigon Detachment in OPP, along with firefighters and paramedics responded to a single commercial motor vehicle collision on Highway 11 approximately 20 kilometres south of Beardmore near the First Nation community of Biinjitiwaabik Zaaging Anishinaabek.

Highway 11 was partially blocked off with traffic control in place due to the accident where a southbound transport had gone off the highway.

The scene was attended by an air ambulance and the OPP said that both occupants of the CMV are being transported to hospital by EMS.

The extent of injuries is unknown at this point; however, the OPP believe them to be non life-threatening.
