RED ROCK -- Ontario Provincial Police say an investigation has led to two residents of Red Rock facing drug charges.

In a release issued on Saturday, police said a warrant was executed on Sept. 26 at a residence on Highway 628, where a quantity of fentanyl, methamphetamine, hydromorphone and cash were seized.

Police also located a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle that had been reported stolen in Thunder Bay in 2022.

A 45-year-old man from Red Rock was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a Schedule 1 substance.

A 28-year-old woman from Lake Helen, Ont. was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Both accused have been released from custody and are expected back in court in Nipigon on Nov. 12.

It is SNNewswatch policy not to name people accused of crimes if it is unlikely the case will be followed through to its conclusion in the courts.
