WAWA — A 34-year-old driver from Blind River has been arrested and charged with impaired driving after Superior East OPP received a call for service from a concerned citizen.
The individual was spotted driving along Highway 101 on Tuesday, approximately 30 kilometres east of Wawa, when officers initiated a traffic stop.
During their investigation, the OPP determined the driver was impaired by alcohol.
The driver received an additional charge after failing to comply with officers demands.
The accused was released from custody but is scheduled to appear in court in November in Wawa.
The accused was also issued a 90-day licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
