Three charged after armed robbery

Three individuals are facing a lengthy list of charges following an armed robbery in Pic Mobert First Nation.

MARATHON – OPP Northwest Region is reporting that officers with the Marathon OPP Detachment were called to assist the Anishinabek Police Service with an armed robbery investigation on June 10.

Shortly after, the OPP North East Region Tactical Response Unit executed a search warrant at two residences in Pic Mobert First Nation. 

Following this investigation, in the afternoon of June 20 police located two remaining suspects at a residence on Whitman Court in Marathon.  

As a result, a 34-year-old has been arrested and charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, breaking and entering with intent to commit an offence, robbery, mischief under $5,000, and four counts of failure to comply with a probation order.

A 20-year-old from Manitouwadge has been arrested and charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, breaking and entering with intent to commit an offence, robbery, disguise with intent, mischief under $5,000, and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.

A 17-year-old was arrested and charged with breaking and entering to commit an offence, robbery, and mischief under $5,000.

The accused are being held in custody and are scheduled to appear before the court at a later date.
