MARATHON – A snow squall warning continues for areas north of Lake Superior, including Marathon and Schreiber.
Environment Canada said the region can expect between 10 and 20 centimetres of lake effect snow, with reduced visibility a good possibility during the worst of the storm.
The weather agency warns snow squalls can cause conditions to vary considerably, with changes from clear skies to heavy snow in just a few kilometres often occurring.
Travel could be hazardous during these conditions.
According to Ontario 511, all roads west of Wawa are open at the time, but reduced visibility is in place.
However, Highway 17 is closed between White River and Batchawana Bay, the closure coming just before 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
