Police clock motorist doing 191 km/hour

MARATHON -- Ontario Provincial Police nailed a driver on Highway 17 doing more than double the speed limit.

According to a post to Ontario Provincial Police - North West social media pages, the driver was caught doing 191 kilometres per hour in a 90-kilometre zone.

The motorist, who was not named, faces a 30-day licence suspension and their vehicle was impounded for 14 days.

The rate of speed also qualifies for a stunt-driving charge.

The OPP post did not indicate the date of the alleged offence.
