Pedestrian struck along Hwy 11

LONGLAC — A pedestrian was struck by a commercial vehicle along Highway 11. 

Greenstone OPP responded to a reported collision on Sept. 27 around 9:24 p.m. near Longlac. 

EMS identified a 24-year-old from Thunder Bay who was brought to the Geraldton District Hospital for treatment. 

The individual was later flown to Thunder Bay for further assessment for non-life-threatening injuries. 

The investigation remains ongoing with OPP.

Police remind pedestrians, cyclists and travellers to wear reflective and high-vis clothing when on roadways and highways.
