OPP seize drugs and a taser in mid-week bust

Three people from Marathon are facing numerous drug and weapons charges after a bust on Wednesday.

MARATHON — Three people are facing several drug charges after a recent bust by Marathon OPP. 

Officers executed a search warrant on Wednesday around lunchtime at a home on Coveney Street. 

Provincial police collected what they believe is methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin. 

Canadian cash was also seized during the search, along with a taser-like weapon and other items associated with drug trafficking. 

A 41 and a 30-year-old from Marathon were arrested and charged with four offences.

A 27-year-old Marathon resident was charged with three counts of possessing substances for trafficking. 

All individuals have been held in custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Marathon on Thursday.
