OPP nab three in drug arrest

Police seized suspected cocaine and crack.

LONG LAC — A traffic stop in Longlac has resulted in three individuals being arrested by OPP.

On Sept. 19th at 4:03 p.m., members of the Greenstone's Ontario Provincial Police initiated a traffic stop on Highway 11 just west of Longlac. 

The traffic stop resulted in the seizure of suspected cocaine and crack cocaine, and the driver and two occupants were arrested.

Other items associated with drug trafficking, including crack pipes and cell phones, were also seized. 

Two 22-year-old Longlac residents are facing two drug-related charges each. 

While a 27-year-old from Hamilton was arrested and charged with another pair of drug-related offences. 

One Longlac resident was remanded into custody, and the other was released with a future court date. 

The accused from Hamilton was also released with a future date at the courthouse.
