OPP lay impaired driving charge

Armstrong OPP has charged one individual with impaired driving in Whitesand First Nation.

WHITESAND FIRST NATION – According to OPP Northwest, on the afternoon of July 1 officers with Armstrong OPP Detachment were conducting a general patrol in the area of Miigizi Meekana Drive and observed a known suspended driver operating a motor vehicle.

During the investigation, officers determined the driver was impaired by alcohol.

As a result, a 39-year-old from Armstrong was arrested and charged with impaired driving and driving under suspension.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court later this month.
