OPP laid charges after a string of break-ins

According to the OPP, they began their investigation shortly after Jan. 23 when the rash of break-ins started.

MANITOUWADGE – After receiving several reports of break-ins in the Manitouwadge area, the OPP stated they arrested and charged a 31-year-old from Manitouwadge, who they believe is connected to the string of incidences.

According to the OPP, they began their investigation shortly after Jan. 23 when the rash of break-ins started.

Through their investigation, the OPP identified a suspect and on Jan. 26 the individual was placed under arrest. This individual was charged with 10 counts of break-and-enter, 10 counts of mischief over $5,000, two counts of mischief under $5,000, and five thefts under $5,000.  

The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the court at a later date.
