OPP charge 19 year-old with methamphetamine trafficking

Police said the arrest comes as the result of an investigation that started in March.

GERALDTON — Ontario Provincial Police in have charged a 19-year-old with trafficking methamphetamine.

In a media release issued on Friday, police said they started an investigation in March into a person suspected of selling drugs in Geraldton, and arrested the accused on April 3 after a warranted search of a home in the town.

Police said they seized “suspected illicit substances” which included the methamphetamine.

The teenager was charged with a pair of trafficking related charges and one count of breaching a court order.

She was held for bail, police said, with a scheduled court date in Thunder Bay on Friday.
