NIPIGON-- In the spirit of Valentine's Day and Pink Shirt Day, Nipigon Red-Rock High School Student Council has declared Feb. 14 to Feb. 23 "Lift Each Other Up Week (and a bit)."
During the course of the week, student council is planning some challenges and activities to help everyone lift each other up and hope that everyone will participate.
Most activities and challenges will be announced in the morning and carried out throughout that school day, but they point out that there are a couple "heads-up" that Student Council thought students might like to have.
They listed those “head-ups” as follows so that students can be better prepared for that day's activity:
1. Bring your toonies Tuesday through Friday. We will be taking pre-orders for Persians for $2.00 each. Buy one for a friend or a classmate or someone you see who needs to be lifted up. Or buy one for yourself. These will be delivered before lunch on Feb. 23.
2. Make sure you do your laundry this weekend and your brightest clothes are clean for Friday. There will be more details next week.
3. On Pink Shirt Day there will be a prize, a local gift card for the most outrageous pink outfit.
The student body, is encouraged to start searching their home and collect all the pink things, so that they are ready for these activities.
