Nipigon man charged with drug trafficking

OPP say a 35-year-old man was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine.

NIPIGON - -A 35-year-old Nipigon is behind bars and facing multiple drug charges following an investigation in the Northern Ontario community.

Ontario Provincial Police, in a release issued on Monday, said they began an investigation into drug trafficking in the community and issued a warrant for the accused.

He was charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking in methamphetamine and trafficking in cocaine.

The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

It is the policy of Dougall Media not to name suspects in crimes that likely won't be followed through the courts.
