NAPS arrests 9 in Moose Factory drug bust

Nine people arrested in a three-home drug bust in Moose Factory First Nation.

MOOSE FACTORY FIRST NATION — A large investigation by several police services has ended with nine people in cuffs related to drug trafficking. 

Three homes in Moose Factory were searched Wednesday morning by NAPS officers, along with members of the OPP. 

During the searches, police located a quantity of suspected crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, hydromorphone, a non-firearm prohibited weapon, cash, and other paraphernalia.

All suspects were arrested at each dwelling and brought into police custody. 

Police estimate the street value of the drugs confiscated is over $30,000 and also seized more than $5,000 in cash. 

Of the nine people arrested, six are from the Moose Factory area, and the remaining three are from the Toronto region. 

A total of 27 drugs, weapons and other charges were laid on the suspects.
