WAWA—Residents were reminded recently that according to their municipal Bylaw 3187-19, everyone is to ensure that any artificial flowers, arrangements, wreath and or decorations such as ornaments or candles are to be removed by Oct. 15.
The municipal social media notice indicated that only one wreath or flower arrangement will be permitted on any single lot to mark special occasions, which fall after Oct. 15, such as Remembrance Day, and Christmas.
According to Dan Beach, director of infrastructure services, “Such decorations must be removed within 30 days of placing them. If items are not removed within 30 days, they shall be considered abandoned and may be disposed of by staff,” stated Beach.
