Impaired charges laid in Greenstone

Greenstone OPP charged a Hearst resident with impaired driving offences after a collision on Highway 11.

GERALDTON – OPP Northwest Region is reporting that officers with the Greenstone OPP detachment responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 11 on July 19.

During the investigation, officers determined the driver was impaired by drugs after finding suspected fentanyl.

The driver was arrested and transported back to the detachment for processing. 

As a result, a 37-year-old from Hearst has been charged with possession, dangerous operation, impaired driving, and failure to comply with an undertaking.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the court in September.
