Hornepayne’s Mayor to hold live session on hazardous waste collection

The Municipality of Hornepayne will be able to discuss hazardous waste collection with their mayor.

HORNEPAYNE: On Friday, Sept. 2, the Municipality of Hornepayne’s mayor will be hosting an open discussion regarding the community’s Hazardous Waste Collection Day, initiative.

Mayor Cheryl Fort is offering her community an opportunity to interact with her during a live Facebook discussion.

Starting at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 2, Fort will be discussing her views and tips regarding the collection of household hazardous waste.

Fort’s announcement indicates the focus is to keep her community informed about this program, as well as to share information regarding the municipality's iniciative, including:

  • What will be accepted
  • What will not be accepted
  • How to protect their landfill site from hazardous waste

The Municipality’s annual Hazardous Waste Collection Day is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The collection site is the Hornepayne Community Arena parking lot, 1Tower Rd.
