HORNEPAYNE — It’s a sad goodbye and a warm welcome, all-in-one.

The Hornepayne Community Hospital recently announced that Linda Kozlowski will be stepping into the role of chief executive officer, effective June 1, 2024.

Kozlowski will be succeeding Heather Jaremy Berube, who spent nine years as CEO – and worked at the hospital for over 39 years.

In a letter received by Hornepayne’s municipal council at their regular meeting on April 17, Richard Kelly, chair of the hospital board, expressed his excitement in welcoming Linda to her new role.

“Linda brings a wealth of experience to the CEO position, with a distinguished career spanning over 20 years . . . She has consistently demonstrated an exceptional work ethic, steady hand during times of crisis, and a clear vision to continue to build the hospital’s team.

"Her leadership and expertise will be invaluable in guiding the hospital through these next years, which will continue to be challenging,” Kelly wrote.

Kowzlowski is currently serving as the Hornepayne Community Hospital’s finance/human resources manager and previously held positions in health records and payroll/accounts payable.

Mayor Cheryl Fort congratulated Kozlowski on behalf of council and indicated they have a card with her name on it to further congratulate and welcome her to the new role.
