THUNDER BAY — Two sections of the Trans-Canada Highway in Northwestern Ontario that were closed early Wednesday afternoon due to collisions and inclement weather have been reopened.
Around 4:00 pm, it was announced that the stretch of Highway 11 between Longlac and Kapuskasing, and the section of Highway 17 between Dryden and Ignace, were both reopened.
Multiple collisions had been reported on both routes earlier in the day, when driving conditions were described as poor because of snow.
Updates on all road closures are available on Ontario 511.
