Greenstone OPP's 13th annual Stuff-A-Cruiser event a success

Two police vehicles filled non-perishable food donations and toys at the 13th annual Stuff-A-Cruiser event.

GERALDTON -- The 13th annual Stuff-A-Cruiser event was once again a success.

Officers from the Greenstone Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in conjunction with the Superior North Emergency Medical Service and the Greenstone Fire Department hosted their annual "Stuff-a-Cruiser" event on Saturday, Dec. 11 in Geraldton and Longlac.

Officers filled two police vehicles with non-perishable food donations and toys as well as collecting cash donations for the Harvest Centre in Greenstone.

The Harvest Centre provides for the Municipality of Greenstone which includes the outlying areas of Beardmore, Caramat, and Nakina.

Police say the Food Bank has seen an influx of need over the past several years, especially around the holiday season.

The Greenstone OPP would like to thank everyone who donated and assisted with the event
