Tbaytel Fibre is ready in Marathon

MARATHON – Technology has become such an integrated part of our daily lives, that it is hard to believe that certain places in Ontario live without the convince of smooth high-speed internet.

Especially, for businesses who need to communicate outside their area in a timely fashion.

If there is one thing the pandemic has taught us that remote work is possible if those have a strong enough bandwidth to do the job from home.

In addition to those the benefit of remote work, education, health care, and social services will find an easy time perform their daily task seamlessly.

“Bringing Fibre to additional communities in our region is a key part of our commitment to providing advanced telecommunications solutions in northern Ontario, as well as investing in the future of the region as a whole,” said Tbaytel president and CEO Dan Topatigh. “Having Tbaytel Fibre in Marathon brings tremendous opportunity to our residential and business customers.”

And now that most of the world’s entertainment is available with a quick push of a button, streaming your favourite television shows and movies won’t be interrupted because streaming need to buffer.

This will mean online streaming without interruptions due to low bandwidth. No more lagging internet phone calls between business partners, just clear and crisp exchanges.

Tbaytel offers five product telecommunications bundles for homes and businesses – including mobility, Internet, TV, phone and security – all from a single provider at competitively priced rates.

Originally announced last year as part of $4.2 million in funding from the provincial government to the Town of Marathon and Township of Terrace Bay, the project also includes a multi-million-dollar capital investment from Tbaytel and commitment towards time and resources for the design, build and implementation.

Since project plans for the expansion, the company has built a modern Fibre optic network and opened a brand new Tbaytel Store in Marathon, with the Store grand opening planned for June 16 and 17.

“Whether it’s a young entrepreneur looking to bring their idea to the world or a family who needs more bandwidth, this project allows us to fully participate in the digital economy right here in Marathon,“ Marathon Mayor Rick Dumas said.

Marathon residents can visit the Tbaytel Store at 2 Ontario Street Unit 8, call (807) 232-8080 or visit tbaytel.net/marathonfibre for more information.
