THUNDER BAY – The Conseil scolaire de district catholique des Aurores boréales has unveiled a five-year strategic plan.
The plan features three pillars the board feels defines itself: identity, innovation and caring.
Identity includes a strong and flourishing Francophone and Catholic identity.
The board also wants to foster an innovative and engaging culture and a welcoming and caring community.
“This strategic plan is the result of intense collaborative work and numerous consultations with our students, families, staff, and community partners,” said Claudette Gleeson, chairperson of the board. “It embodies our collective determination to move forward together for the well-being of our students.”
“We listened to the needs and aspirations of our community and developed a plan that will allow us to overcome current challenges while ensuring educational excellence,” said Mireille Major-Levesque, director of education.
The school board said it is confident the implementation of this strategic plan will empower all members of its school community to participate in the continued improvement of services provided to students.
