GREENSTONE — Recent improvements to highway 584 north of Greenstone are being touted by premier Doug Ford as key to unlocking the economic potential of critical minerals in the Ring of Fire region.

Ford held a media event in Greenstone Wednesday to highlight roadway improvements, including the replacement of seven culverts on highway 584 this year and further work planned for 2025-2026.

The premier also called attention his government's investments in the Migizi Plaza Rest Stop, the Greenstone Gold Mine Assay Laboratory and the Indigenous Workforce Development Program, which is operated by Minodahmun Development LP.

Local dignitaries and first nations leaders joined the premier at the event.
