Extreme cold warning still in effect

SUPERIOR NORTH -- The extreme cold warning continues into Friday for parts of the region.

Environment Canada states wind chill values near -40C is expected Thursday night into Friday morning.

Watch for cold-related symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.

Make sure to cover up as frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.

  • Geraldton - Longlac - Caramat
  • Manitouwadge - Hornepayne
  • Nakina - Aroland - Pagwa
  • Wawa - Pukaskwa Park
  • White River - Dubreuilville
